This set is composed of an antique coin of the Constantine I period (306-337 AD) of 16mm in diameter in its protective hermetic capsule and two high definition prints mounted under a museum quality mat in a wooden frame (white oak effect). All protected by a glass guaranteeing protection against dust, splashes and contacts.

Constantine the Great, probably born in Naissus in Moesia on February 27, 272, was a major Roman emperor of the 4th century.
He is the first son of Constance, then a soldier, and Helena, a Greek, originally from Bythinia in Anatolia.
Although initially proclaimed Emperor illegitimately by his troops, on the death of his father Constantius Chlorus in 306, his reign continued uninterrupted until his death in 337.
He managed to unify the imperial power in 324 by triumphing over his co-emperor Licinius. He is therefore sole master of the Roman Empire for thirteen years.
Emperor Constantine I leads a profoundly reforming political, military, religious and economic life, which allows him to unite under his sole authority a weakened and divided Empire.
It establishes a stable currency - the solidus - in 312; the solidus of 4.55 grams of gold can be considered the most famous coin in History, the only one whose titration could remain unchanged for more than seven centuries.
Constantine I defends the borders of the Empire against the Franks, the Alemanni, the Sarmatians, the Goths and the Sassanids. In 330 he founded a capital in his name, Constantinople.
In 337, he was preparing to lead an expedition against the Sassanid Empire of Shapour II, when he died suddenly near Nicomedia. He was buried in the Church of the Holy Apostles, which he had built in Constantinople.
When Constantine I died, he did not settle his succession. His three sons proclaim themselves Augustes, while the other members of the imperial family are assassinated. They share the Empire but Constantin II and Constant I will come into conflict.
